Information Builders will build the latest version of their WebFOCUS product for their customer base of Fortune 100 and US government agencies using the Bindows Ajax Framework.

Our press conference in Tokyo with NEOJAPAN generated some great press. The two companies announced that NEOJAPAN joined the Bindows Global Partnership Program and that they will gradually revamp their groupware solution called desknet’s. Here’s a nice screenshot of desknet’s using Bindows.

Bindows Global Partnership Program Expands into Japan0

Bindows Global Partnership adds another major partner - NEOJAPAN Inc. As NEOJAPAN’s president states, “We explored all the AJAX Frameworks and chose Bindows because it is the most mature, rich and complete platform for building AJAX and Web 2.0 enterprise-strength applications.”

At the NEOJAPAN/Bindows press conference today in Tokyo there were over 50 reporters, including reporters from four of the largest Japanese newspapers.

NEOJAPAN has all the necessary ingredients to exploit this high growth market - the success of their “desknet’s� groupware solution, their industry-proven training and their consulting services. NEOJAPAN will also be using Bindows to gradually revamp “desknet’s� with AJAX technology and make it a zero-footprint, Web 2.0 solution.

Bindows Article on Ajax in Byte Magazine0

We’re proud to announce that Byte Magazine has published an article by Yoram Meriaz (CEO at MB Technologies - maker of Bindows.) The article is called Back to the Future with AJAX.

The idea behind the article is that we started with mainframes and dumb terminals, then we migrated to clients and servers and now with the rise of AJAX we’re headed back (yet forward) to centralized delivery of services with sophisticated user interfaces.

The article also includes a useful list of the advantages of AJAX and tackles the question as to whether or not AJAX is ready for the enterprise.
